About Lara

I am a native Spanish teacher with a passion for languages, holding two master's degrees, specializing in education and teaching Spanish as a foreign language. With over 10 years of teaching experience, I am dedicated to creating tailored lessons that meet your unique needs. Spanish is not just my native language; it is my expertise. I graduated in Translation and Interpretation from the University of Salamanca in Spain and had the incredible opportunity to pursue my Erasmus experience at the University of Geneva. Building upon my strong foundation, I went on to earn a Master's degree in Language Education and another Master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have lived, studied, and worked in several countries such as France, United States, Switzerland, and Spain. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching a diverse range of students, spanning from high school to professionals. Each experience has enriched my teaching approach and reinforced my commitment to providing engaging and effective lessons. As your teacher, I will guide you through the exciting journey of learning Spanish. Together, we will explore not only the language but also the vibrant cultures and rich traditions that make Spanish-speaking countries so fascinating. Through interactive and dynamic lessons, I will ensure that you not only grasp the fundamentals of grammar but also develop the confidence to engage in meaningful conversations.

About the lesson

Whether you want to improve your conversational skills, master grammar concepts, or prepare for a trip to a Spanish-speaking country, I can customize the lessons to suit your goals and interests. I take great pride in my work and in delivering you nothing but the best results. I do this by structuring engaging, personally tailored lessons that help utilize your strengths to cover any holes in your knowledge, and in allowing you to reach your full potential. I bring a deep knowledge of the subject at hand and make the process engaging and, dare I say, even fun!

During our sessions, we will focus on all aspects of the language, especially speaking, listening reading, and writing. I will provide you with engaging materials, such as authentic texts, videos, and exercises, to ensure a dynamic and immersive learning environment. Additionally, I will incorporate cultural aspects to enhance your understanding of the Spanish-speaking world.

As a professional language teacher, I am patient, supportive, and dedicated to your progress. I will adapt my teaching methods to your learning style and pace, providing clear explanations and constructive feedback to help you overcome any challenges.

Whether you are a student, a professional, or someone who simply wants to learn Spanish for personal enrichment, I am here to assist you on your language learning journey. Let's start this exciting adventure together and unlock the doors to the Spanish-speaking world!

Please feel free to contact me to discuss your specific needs, schedule availability, and pricing. I am committed to helping you achieve your Spanish language goals!

Skype lessons with Lara have really enabled me to improve my communication skills within a professional environment. I particularly enjoyed how she also highlights social and cultural ambiguities, humour and irony through language.

I can't recommend Lara enough as a Spanish teacher. Her ability to make complex grammar concepts easy to understand and her personalized approach have helped me improve so much in little time. I love the conversational style of our classes, which has significantly boosted my speaking skills. Thank you!
