About Luke
I graduated from Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) with a first-class degree in Hispanic Studies and Politics in 2024. I have over 4 years of experience learning Spanish at degree level, including a year living, studying, and working in Spain, Guatemala, and Nicaragua (with stops in Mexico and Miami).
Travelling to multiple countries has allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of the complexities of the Spanish language, including regional differences in both accent and dialect. If the student desires, I will be well-placed to help them to develop a region-specific accent of their choosing, as well as to recommend age-appropriate media to assist in their learning journey.
I am deeply passionate about language learning, and I trust that the enthusiasm I bring to this endeavour will inspire any student to appreciate the value of learning Spanish beyond passing exams. (Of course, I will also help them to pass exams!)

Students of Spanish from age 11+ will benefit from engaging lessons which focus on conversation rather than abstract grammar concepts in order to naturally improve fluency.
Lessons will usually last between 30-50 minutes so as to ensure maximum concentration throughout. Longer sessions can be booked if the student feels it will be of benefit!
Homework can also be set in order to improve personalisation of classes and practice the application of concepts discussed; otherwise, sessions can be used to discuss the student's assignments from their institution and address any confusions.
