About Mary
Holding a Licenciatura en Música from UNAM and a BM from Berklee might seem like an odd path toward language instruction. However, spending 13 years gigging across the US taught me that language lives inside the music. I specialize in helping professionals and advanced hobbyists navigate the nuances between Latin American and Castilian variants. We bridge the gap between business Spanish and the colorful idioms that textbooks often ignore.
My approach focuses heavily on interview preparation and cultural context to ensure your fluency feels authentic. It is surprisingly rare to find a tutor who can explain why a bolero sounds wrong in translation.
