About Heidi

I learned Spanish in high school. I know what it is like to practice conjugations and tenses, get gender to agree, build vocabulary, place accents correctly during spelling. Write papers and journal entries. Watch videos and answer comprehension questions. I have been there, and I can help you on that journey.

I have been on multiple academic trips and mission trips to Peru, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. I know what it is like to go on a mission trip. I can help you understand what to expect. Tell you about living with a host family. About cultural differences, transportation issues, what to pack, etc.

About the lesson

I graduated with a major in Spanish Language and Literature in 2013. Lived in Costa Rica 3 months and nannied for a Mexican family in Olathe for one year.

I provide instructional support and conversational practice for primary and secondary students. I am able to re-enforce what you are learning in the classroom.

I provide basic Spanish language skills for tourists and those planning a trip to a Spanish speaking country. I can provide additional vocabulary for mission trips or foreign aid trips.

Tell me what you are looking for and I can bring that. Help with conjugations. Grammar. Sentence construction and writing. I can provide writing and audio samples with preparation to help you practice comprehension. I can help you practice expressing yourself both orally and in writing.

If you simply want to learn Spanish on your own and are looking for primary instruction, I can provide that as well.

When I think of Heidi I think first empathetic, loving, relates well one-on-one with people. She chose to get her degrees in Spanish and Occupational Therapy because she values one-on-one relationships with people.

Trustworthy--Heidi is an example for us all in her honesty and reliability. She loves people and gives the best of herself to the people she interacts with.

Heidi can be trusted to reliably guide you using your computer, doing your mathematics, writing a paper, planning an art project or with any subject you can think of.
