About Ivan
I'm a software engineer who graduated summa cum laude in Computer Science from Northeastern University and was valedictorian of my high school class. When I'm not working, you'll find me coding passion projects, geeking out over maps and charts, tracking stocks, or hanging out with my cats. I love drinking and brewing different kinds of teas. I enjoy what I do, and I love helping others discover that math and CS can actually be fun.

I believe understanding beats memorization. I break down complex concepts into intuitive steps, connect ideas to real-world applications, and meet you exactly where you are.
Before I explain the concept, we start by reviewing previous material then work through examples together. I will also have you try problems while I guide you. We wrap up by identifying what to practice before next time.
I'm a working software engineer who uses these skills daily so I know how to prepare you to think in the right direction. I graduated summa cum laude in CS from Northeastern and was valedictorian of my high school. I know what it takes to go from confused to confident because I've done it all myself.
I am interested in working with middle school through undergrad students studying programming, data structures, algorithms, math (pre-algebra through calculus, linear algebra, discrete math), SAT Math, AP Calculus, and AP Computer Science.
