About Yip
I am a dedicated ESL tutor with 8 years of experience teaching High School and College students. During this time, I have taught 150–200 students, helping them improve their English and achieve academic success.
I am passionate about education and believe that every student has the potential to excel. I focus on building strong foundations in grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking. My lessons are structured, practical, and interactive, designed to make learning enjoyable and effective.
One of my key milestones has been helping students gain confidence and achieve better grades. Many students who struggled with communication are now fluent and confident in speaking and writing.
I adapt my teaching approach to suit each student’s learning style. My mission is to inspire students to enjoy learning English and develop lifelong skills.

My ESL methodology emphasises practical communication, fluency, and confidence-building. I use real-life examples and case studies such as workplace conversations, travel situations, academic discussions, and social interactions. Students actively practise speaking, listening, reading, and writing in meaningful contexts.
Motivation is essential in my teaching. I support students with continuous guidance, positive reinforcement, and clear progress goals. When challenges arise, I use problem-solving techniques to simplify complex grammar rules, vocabulary, and pronunciation issues. Integrity is a core value of my approach, and I provide honest feedback and professional guidance.
Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons to suit individual proficiency levels and learning styles. In addition to ESL, I teach business English, academic writing, spoken English, and grammar improvement.
