About Amy
I have a BA (First Class Honors) from Goldsmiths, and an MFA from the Slade (Distinction). I am an associate lecturer on the BA Fine Art at Arts University Bournemouth, and I am a guest lecturer at Central Saint Martins. I am a practicing artist and exhibit both in the UK and Internationally. I have had multiple solo shows in prestigious galleries, including London, Paris, Beijing and Los Angeles. I was the recipient of the prestigious Adrian Carruthers Award from the Slade in 2019. The experience I have taken from my rigorous art education, several years of art lecturing, and success as an artist has given me a high level of experience and expertise to facilitate students learning across all areas of Arts and Design but with a particular focus on painting, and drawing.
I can help you to develop your own personal style in your art practice, along with expanding your technical skills. I also offer help to students in the process of creating a portfolio. My teaching will help you to develop more confidence in your art practice.

If you are looking to improve your technique in painting or preparing for art school applications, I offer bespoke tutoring that will help you to develop considerably as an artist and achieve your goals.
I am passionate about art, bringing enthusiasm and excellence in my field. My approach is hands on, giving constructive feedback along with suggestions on how you can further develop your technique, and art practice. The typical length of a lesson is an hour and will be tailored around your specific learning needs and goals. I have experience in teaching a range of different ages, from very young children, students applying to art schools, or people who wish to improve their painting skills and knowledge.
