About Sophia
I am a passionate Biology tutor with more than 4 years of experience and a MSc in Molecular Genetics. My teaching focuses on the incredible complexity of the human brain. Neurobiology allows us to understand how biological systems shape behavior and thought.
Students learn about neurons, synapses, and neural communication. These concepts reveal how signals travel through the nervous system.
We also explore sensory systems and the brain’s role in interpreting information. This helps explain perception and awareness.
Another focus is memory and the formation of neural pathways. Students discover how learning physically changes the brain.
I often work with psychology students and aspiring neurologists who want deeper understanding of neural systems. Curious learners interested in the mind are always welcome as well.
Studying the brain is both challenging and fascinating. There is great joy in uncovering the mysteries of the human mind.

My teaching approach focuses on making biology understandable and engaging. I guide students through evolutionary biology, natural selection, speciation, and phylogenetics step by step. These concepts explain how life evolves and adapts over time.
Critical thinking is an important part of my lessons. Students learn to evaluate evidence and understand scientific reasoning.
We also study evolutionary relationships between organisms using phylogenetic trees. This helps students see the connections between different forms of life.
My teaching supports students interested in chemistry-related scientific fields connected with biology. They gain a deeper understanding of biological systems.
With regular feedback and support, students grow confident in discussing life’s diversity. Together we explore the grand narrative of evolution.
