About Jackie
I have been tutoring math for over 15 years. On average, my students improve by up to 20 percentage points. I have worked with students who have a variety of learning disabilities, including short-term memory problems and math dyslexia. I limit time spent on math to no more than 3 hours at a time because I have found that those for whom math doesn't come easily generally don't absorb anything after that point. My goal isn't just to help students complete assignments correctly, but to help them truly understand the material so they are able to do better on quizzes and tests, which often make up a significant part of their grade.

I tailor my lessons to my students. I only have a few basic rules. 1) I don't give answers. I help you find them yourself. 2) I don't help on quizzes or tests. I prepare you to take them yourself with confidence. 3) I will try as long as you are willing to try. If you aren't willing to try, you're wasting my time as well as your own. Bring questions to your sessions. It helps me to better know what you need help with. "There are only 2 types of stupid questions: the one you don't ask and the one you already know the answer to."

Jackie is the best! I was in my 50's and am legally blind which would have been a challenge to most teachers. Jackie new exactly how to help me. I would have never made it without her.
Jackie tutored me thru college algebra. I ended up with an A. She is an excellent teacher.I would not have made it through the online accounting classes I was taking without the help of Jackie. She was able to help me understand the principles and complete the courses. She is amazing and will find ways to help you understand.
Jackie is such a good math tutor. I am terrible at math and I needed a tutor for all my math classes in college. She is exceptional. I would not be a dental hygienist now with out a consistent math professional that helped push me through all my math classes. Such a sweet lady. Go to her you will not regret it!
