About Petra
I am a well-educated singer, who is familiar with jazz, pop, rock and classical music. I studied at the conservatory (The Hague) and at the Djam (A'dam). I sing and compose in many projects and various bands. I also give music lessons to children in primary schools for two years and I have given lessons in musical for a few years. I also have experience with jazz improvisation.

I am familiar with various singing techniques (classical, jazz, pop, musical, CVT). I look at what you want to learn and what suits you and try to match your wishes and possibilities as much as possible. I become enthusiastic if you take a step (or preferably more steps) in your development and possibilities. I think your voice is more important than my wallet: if I can not help you further I will refer you to another teacher.

Perfect! Erg aardige, professionele docente! Een aanrader.
Perfect! Petra richt zich goed op mijn wensen en geeft duidelijk aan waar ze de mogelijkheden voor verbetering ziet. Ik heb verder geen ervaring met zanglessen en ben hier net mee begonnen, maar dit is veelbelovend.

Perfect! Petra is really a good teacher, she help my daughter improve her voice which I can recognize.
- Khalid's daughter Qiqi is a wonderful, bright and talented girl! She has a good voice and great musical ears. If she works hard, she will definitely become a fantastic singer. Her understanding of melody is very good, this gives perspective on other music instruments in the future too. What is most important in reaching your goals in singing is to relax the muscles and enjoy what you do. Pick songs that you like to sing and listen to.Petra's response :

Petra is niet alleen een bijzonder goede vocaliste met een stemdiversiteit om jaloers op te zijn, maar ook een betrokken mens. Tegenwoordig een hele zeldzaamheid, iemand die écht naar je luistert en doorvraagt om te ontdekken wat je wilt. Dit heeft bij zanglessen ook een meerwaarde, zodat je datgene leert wat echt bij je past. Haar enthousiasme is enorm motiverend en ze heeft een brede muzieksmaak, staat overal voor open.
Petra en ik hebben samen les gegeven op onze muziektheaterschool. Zij nam de muzieklessen voor haar rekening. We hebben altijd zeer fijn samengewerkt. Momenteel geeft zij muzieklessen op diverse scholen in Rotterdam e.o. Petra is zeer vakbekwaam en ambitieus in haar lessen en focust zich volledig op haar vak.

It's necessary to contact me minimal 24 hours before the scheduled lesson if you wish to reschedule it, otherwise the usual amount must be paid. The first lesson will be one hour, the first half hour of that lesson is for free.
