About Oxana
I have been sewing since I was a child. I was 15 when I made my first trendy jeans. I made them from my father's pants, using my mother's pattern book. A career in fashion has always been my dream. At one time, I had a small business creating custom evening gowns. All I know, I taught myself. I did successfully apply to a fashion institution, but it was a very underwhelming experience to say the least. Eventually I ended up in a privileged position where I could sew all day, every day for myself without worrying about providing the income. I developed the system where the sewing of the garment, which used to be the most frustrating and unpleasant part for me, became my favorite.
If you, like me, want the outcome you will be happy with without unnecessary suffering, I am very happy to share my knowledge and experience with you.

My teaching is focused on helping you to make a beautiful outfit for yourself in the shortest time possible. From lingerie to coats and even leather handbags, I can do it all.
I am fluent in English and Russian.
I have about 15 years of sewing experience. My lessons are aimed at students who want to update their wardrobe with unique pieces. However, I do not offer patternmaking because of the abundance of online resources and the vast array of ready-made patterns. I prefer to modify and adapt a ready pattern and focus my whole attention on the garment itself. I discovered that this method significantly increases productivity and minimizes frustration.
The lesson will focus on specific garment of choice. I will guide you on where to find the best resources for ready-made patterns, how to work with A4 pattern prints without getting frustrated when the sheets do not match, the correct selection of fabrics, and, finally, sewing the garment.
