About Cristien
In 2018, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Western Michigan University. I also had minors in mathematics and astronomy.
During my time at WMU, I had experience working as a drop-in tutor for courses such as multivariate calculus, differential equations, complex analysis, pre-algebra, algebra 1, algebra 2,and pre-calculus.
I have plenty of experience working with students in small (one-on-one) and large (classes of 50) learning settings and I believe I have a lot to offer in the way of helping others learn.

My teaching method is very hands-on and starts from a foundational basis. I always have students work on problems to learn material from the ground up rather than lecture at them.
As far as lesson structure goes, if students come to me non-regularly I try to cater to what the student needs in that moment and be somewhat to the point. If students do come regularly, I form a lesson structure that builds upon itself and always set long term learning goals for the student.
