Everyone learns at their own pace, and in their own style. I don't believe in using a rigid learning structure when trying to teach something as rich and complex as programming. Happy to accommodate lessons of any length, from 30 minutes, up to a couple of hours if you're getting really into it!
No age limit! Whether you're at school and considering a career in software engineering or development, or you want to create games as a hobby, or even if you're an adult and looking to try something new, it's never too early (or too late!) to dive into the amazing world of programming
What I can offer:
- Flexible one-on-one lessons structured around your learning needs, pace and time-frame. Lessons can be one-off, regular or as you require them.
- We can work to identify your goals, understand where you're encountering problems and get to fixing these as well as providing a solid basis for the fundamentals as we go along
- We can have sessions that are purely for problem solving/code reviewing or we can create a short or long-term learning plan tailored for you
- Tutoring and assistance with specific assignments and exam preparation (recently I've been assisting with several Open Polytechnic courses and WinForms assignments!)
- Mentorship and long-term support if you'd like it (for example; getting you job ready, coaching or helping you through the industry, being available for questions any time, preparation for job interviews)
- My experience as a Senior Developer as well as a teacher means I can provide useful and practical knowledge to industry standards, allowing you to succeed.

10/10.Greg has a great knowledge of WinForms, very practical approaches to application design. Helped me figure out the steps I was missing and tidy it up. He is easy to get along with and understand. Greg was able to quickly offer me tutoring when I got stuck on an assignment that was due in a few days, so I appreciated him fitting me in and helping me submit it on time.
Highly recommended. Greg has excellent communication skills. Excels at breaking down complex problems into simpler ones. Meets you at your level and adapts to your learning needs. Very practical teacher who uses his industry experience to help show the differences between assignments and everyday functionality in a job. Very kind, helpful and really wants you to succeed.
