About Anthony
I am a senior at the Purchase College Conservatory of Music, majoring in Jazz Studies and minoring in Studio Production. I play guitar, violin and piano. I have been teaching guitar for 2 years, both privately and coaching performance groups at music lesson studios. Teaching has been a passion of mine since I started studying music on a collegiate level, it is a privilege to help students on their musical journey. I especially enjoy finding the approach that helps every individual student, whether it is to learn the guitar for fun or to make it their focus. Being a student of music from a young age, I understand first hand how important it is to have fun with the music, work on what you enjoy - that's when the best learning happens. Through our lessons, you will not only learn the fretboard in technical way, but also in way that you can directly apply to playing your favorite kind of music. When I am not teaching, I perform around the tri-state area in several groups that play Jazz, Funk, Rock and some original music as well. I also participate as a session guitar player in recording sessions for various smaller artists.

I offer an approach to learning the guitar that prepares students to play in any style with a fluent understanding of the fretboard. As a Jazz and Classically trained musician I frequently participate in bands of vastly different genres, ranging from Pop Punk rock to Bebop. I love to help my students learn the instrument by working on their favorite songs and styles. In this way, I tailor my approach to every student, to guide them to play the way they'd like to. More than anything - its important to have fun and enjoy playing! All ages and levels of playing are welcome.
