About Charles
I am a KS3/4 Maths & Computer science teacher with 10 years experience.
I completed my PGCE in 2015 .
I have taught in schools ranging from high achieving Ofsted graded 'Outstanding' through to 'Requiring improvement' with good experience supporting SEND students lacking confidence with maths.
I am a specialist in motivating all types of students ranging from gifted and talented but unmotivated or lacking in confidence to SEND students with ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, through a mixture of approaches including the use of online maths games and structured procedural approaches to problems, focusing primarily on building confidence.
Free 30 minutes online session with no obligation to continue if not a good tutor match.

I have an extensive collection of maths and computing resources I have built up over my career which help students learn concepts in an engaging, fun and simplistic way.
I specialise in SATS, KS3 and GCSE Maths support.
I have gained teaching experience over 5,000 hours of live classroom teaching and tutoring since 2015. This teaching experience helps me know what topics and particular skills students find the most challenging, how to decompose these into simple clear explanations and reinforce with demos and guided practice. This makes learning fun and unintimidating for disengaged/low confidence students.
I am a particular advocate of using technology for engagement and assessment for learning.
