About Samuel
I am a second-year nursing student with a strong interest in helping others understand and feel more confident in their studies. Through my experience in both clinical placements and volunteer teaching, I have developed the ability to explain concepts clearly and support individuals at their own pace.
I enjoy working one-on-one with students and creating a comfortable environment where they feel confident to ask questions and learn without pressure. My goal is not just to help students pass, but to help them genuinely understand the material and build confidence in their learning.

I offer beginner-friendly support for first-year nursing students, focusing on understanding core concepts such as anatomy, fundamental nursing skills, and basic clinical theory.
Some key details to know about my lessons:
- My teaching technique involves heavy emphasis on breaking down complex concepts into simple structures.
- I take on a teach-back style to tutoring. I guide students into understanding a concept and help them comprehend it in their own words to ensure students gain full understanding of the material. Hint: teach-back will come in handy for future placements and work as this is often a crucial step during handovers ;)
- Lessons can range between 30 minutes to 2 hours. I'm happy to discuss and negotiate lesson durations within this range.
- I have over two years of informal teaching experience through volunteer work as well as having undergone placements in aged care. I am comfortable teaching both theory and practical skills.
I tailor each lesson based on the student’s needs, whether it is revising lecture content, preparing for assessments, or building confidence in clinical concepts. I also emphasize study techniques that have helped me succeed in my own nursing studies.
My lessons are ideal for students who are new to nursing or feeling overwhelmed and need clear guidance and support.
