About Tina
Hi! I am a second-year Medical Student with a great passion for teaching and tutoring. I have been doing this for so long now that it became second nature haha. Something I find important is receiving feedback, so it is always important for me to follow up with the students to see what they would like to be done differently. I am very social and love making new friends so it is easy for me to create an approachable environment that constitutes a safe space for students to engage and ask questions.
Some fun facts, I have a cat who meows A LOT, I like to read fantasy books and I enjoy going to the gym.

Before we begin sessions, I will ask that the student sends me their syllabus and learning objectives so I come to the first session prepared. I will spend the first session getting an idea of the weaknesses the student has and what study strategies work best. One of my strategies that I would offer is writing summary notes and what can be considered a "cheat sheet". With repetition, the student will likely get to a point where they don't need that review sheet anymore. I also am really good with analogies and simplifying topics. One of my techniques is also applying the concept of "active recall" which, from my experience, is the best study strategy. Most of my latest experiences revolve around Math lessons for students ages 3-14, but I also have experience with high school Math, Chemistry, and Biology.
