About Emily
Aspiring barrister LLB (Hons) Law undergraduate at The University of York, specifically leaning towards a medical law related field. In my sessions, I will help you understand your A level law syllabus and give weekly homework for revision technique. You will receive either a problem question, debatable theory or standard key terms. I will teach myself all A level law syllabuses so don't worry about exam boards - I am familiar with it all within my degree. You can expect a professional, punctual, and personalised approach in every session. I pride myself on being approachable and responsive, creating a space where you feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas. I’ve helped both university and A-Level students improve their grades — and I’d love to help you do the same.

What I Offer: Clear and structured explanations of legal concepts and cases Essay planning and writing support, including help with legal reasoning, structure, and clarity Case law breakdowns and legislation analysis, tailored to your syllabus Guidance on exam technique My Approach: I use real-life problem questions (something which is taught at my university) and case summaries to simplify dense material Lessons are interactive and discussion-based, helping you think more critically Supplied homework with review for revision purposes Lessons are all online based, allowing you to work wherever whenever ️ Lesson Length: Typical sessions last 60 minutes, but I also offer 90-minute deep-dive sessions for essay workshops or revision blocks My Experience: Second-year LLB student achieving high 2:1 grades Extensive experience in essay-based subjects and academic writing Background in peer mentoring and informal tutoring in law, politics and English literature Who It's For: A-Level Law students Mature students returning to study law Anyone seeking to improve legal essay writing, understanding of core modules (e.g., criminal, tort, public), or study skills
