About Amy-Leigh
I am a second year university student who is studying education. I always loved school growing up and have a passion for helping others. I believe that any subject content can be interesting or fun if you understand it.
A fun fact about me is that I am a ballerina! I have been dancing since I was 9 and have never quit. Having extracurriculars are very important to maintain balance and prevent burnout in school.

As a patient, encouraging and well-prepared tutor, I believe every learner can succeed when lessons are tailored to their individual needs and learning style. My teaching methodology focuses on building confidence through clear explanations, interactive activities and plenty of guided practice in a supportive environment. I am proficient in English and Afrikaans, and I am able to teach in both languages. During a typical lesson, students can expect a friendly and structured approach, where we work through concepts step by step, practise together, and reinforce learning with examples and revision activities. My lessons are aimed at Intermediate Phase learners (Grades 4–7), particularly those who need extra support, want to improve their understanding of schoolwork, prepare for assessments, or build confidence in all subjects. My goal is to create a positive learning experience where students feel comfortable asking questions and are motivated to reach their full potential.
