About Danny
I am a dedicated Computer Science student at Imperial College London, having achieved a First Class in my first year. I achieved A*A*A*A in A-level Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Computer Science and nine Grade 9s and two Grade 8s in my GCSEs. As a student, I have always followed a very rigorous approach to learning, placing great value on true understanding of the topic—and I teach with the same philosophy. My lessons focus on building a deep understanding of the subject, not just blindly memorising methods or facts. At the same time, I emphasise exam technique—helping students structure answers clearly and apply their knowledge in unfamiliar contexts effectively under pressure. I have six months of experience volunteering as a teaching assistant at A-level Maths workshops, where I supported students who were struggling with specific problems or concepts in their homework assignments. During my first year at university, I also tutored a Year 13 student in both A-level Computer Science. I effectively stepped in to cover key material after their teacher left partway through the year, guiding them through the entire Algorithms & Programming syllabus. I focused on building their confidence and deepening their understanding of algorithms and data structures, using diagrams and practical examples to make complex ideas more accessible.

Typically, my lessons are based on topics highlighted by the student, and we begin by going over the necessary content from the syllabus, followed by exam-style questions. I also encourage some lessons to be dedicated to only practice questions since an abundance of practice is so important for exam success. My lessons are primarily aimed at students studying GCSE or A-level Computer Science. I am also happy to help out with mock interviews for students applying to study Computer Science at top UK Universities. Lessons tend to last one hour, but I am flexible, having previously taught lessons for up to three hours. In the past, I have taught through a Teams call alongside a shared Microsoft Whiteboard where both the student and myself are able to write on.
