About Jonathan
I’m a screenwriter, filmmaker, and storyteller who loves helping people bring their ideas to life. In 2025, I co-wrote People Like Me, a six-episode original series on Peacock. Before that, I spent over a decade creating viral videos and digital content that reached millions worldwide, learning first-hand how story and character drive audience connection. I also founded DoGoodMedia.co, a creative studio dedicated to developing original projects and helping brands and creators tell meaningful stories. Through this work, I’ve consulted for top creators to build scripts and shape stories, developed content that’s been shared globally, and collaborated with teams to turn sparks of ideas into fully produced projects. As a teacher, I focus on the craft: workshopping, structure, character, and format. I do all of this while also sharing practical strategies for navigating the industry. My approach is hands-on, collaborative, and rooted in real-world experience. Whether you’re developing your very first idea or refining a full draft, my goal is to help you sharpen your skills, tell your story with confidence, and leave with a clear plan to move your script and screenwriting skills forward. This class is designed to give you the tools to write stronger stories and the strategies to get your work seen by the right people in Hollywood. Expect a hands-on approach—with feedback, practical exercises, and homework assignments designed to sharpen your skills and move your script forward. ----- Core Focus Areas: - Workshopping Ideas: bring your concepts or pages, and we’ll refine them together. - Ideation: learn how to expand a spark into a full, compelling story. - Character Development: because character IS story. Together, we’ll build layered characters who shape their world and drive the narrative forward. - Screenplay Format: master the professional standards so your script looks ready for Hollywood. - Story Structure: we'll break down proven frameworks like the 8-sequence system and learn how to build suspense into every genre. --- How We’ll Work Each session is collaborative and practical. You’ll leave with clear assignments, actionable feedback, and a roadmap for developing stronger characters, sharper structure, and more engaging scripts. Along the way, I’ll also share real-world strategies to help you position your script so you can have a good step forward to getting noticed by industry professionals.
