About Laura
I am a professional screenwriter and playwright, having worked in the theatre, film and tv industry for over 15 years. I co-founded a performance space where we produced many A-Level and GCSE texts, including bringing Shakespeare to the young people of Peckham, South London. We run local drama groups for young people to build their confidence, self-esteem and improve their written and public speaking skills. I adapt novels for the screen and work with writers to edit their own scripts. I like to engage the student with an individual plan that works for their style of learning, working to their strengths, thus, giving them the confidence to flourish. I believe my passion for storytelling trickles into the way I teach English Literature texts and makes English Language learning accessible, engaging, and even fun!
