Science teacher with 19 years experience tutors Physics, Pre-AP Physics, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, and AP Physics C

She is amazing! She taught me all of AP physics for my entire high school life. She taught me AP Physics 1, 2, and C.
I really like her analogies and physical representations to show us physics concepts.
I remember how Mrs. Lorfing (Heather) helped me through a worksheet while also making jokes with me. Her calm, carefree vibe makes learning so fun.

Mrs. Lorfing was my AP Physics teacher and was the reason why I love physics! I came into AP Physics 1 dreading the course, only knowing it to be some of the hardest curriculum in high school. But Mrs. Lorfing taught so well and was so engaging that I actually looked forward to worksheets and tests. She always made sure we had enough practice problems and that they prepared us well for the AP test. Mrs. Lorfing will always be one of the best teachers I've ever had.

Ms. Lorfing is a physics teacher like no other! I was probably the worst student in her physics class but it was through her thorough explanations and insight that I was able to pass my physics ap exams when I thought I wouldn’t! Not only that but she is extremely fun to learn from and work with! It was because of her that I took another physics class (despite it being my worst subject) knowing that she would teach it. Overall, she is the prof I wish I had for every one of my classes!

Heather was my physics teacher for all of high school and easily one of the greatest teachers I've had. She prioritized building intuition and breaking down common misunderstandings in an approachable and intuitive way. Her teaching is not something you can get with just videos or a textbook. Without her I would not have been able to get a 5 on every AP physics exam. She has over 20 years experience and it shows. I strongly recommend Heather!
