About Hakeem
I hold a Master's degree and have worked across both formal education and informal mentoring, supporting students from primary level through to A-Level in Mathematics and Science. That range matters: I understand how a concept needs to be introduced differently depending on whether a student is encountering it for the first time or preparing to be examined on it.
My sessions are structured and purposeful. I identify where a student is struggling, address the gap directly, and build understanding in a way that holds up under exam conditions. I do not move on until the student is confident. Progress is always visible, and I track it deliberately so that students and parents can see exactly where improvement is happening.
Alongside tutoring, I work in digital health and research, which means I bring a disciplined, analytical approach to how I explain things. I have found that students respond well to clear reasoning rather than rote repetition, and that is the standard I hold myself to in every session.

I use a hands-on and interactive approach. I believe practice makes perfect. I also provide a lot of visuals to aid learning. I use a calm approach when speaking and giving notes to pupils and also emphasise that it is okay to make mistakes.
