About Kacie
I began my tutoring career by tutoring friends in my university classes; I discovered that as much as it helped them it also helped me. Then I realized that I absolutely love tutoring. When I discovered that my university had a peer tutoring program, I put in an application and couldn't wait for an interview. At that point I was hired by my university to tutor Organic Chemistry and Physics. There is truly nothing better than to do what I love every day and seeing the proverbial light bulb light up someone's face. I have spent approximately 7 years tutoring professionally now in organic chemistry, general chemistry, AP chemistry, biology, physics, and all of the math from prealgebra though calculus 3.

Learning is a very personal experience, and as such I feel that it is best to tailor my tutoring style to fit the student's needs. There are many learning styles, and my own varies by subject. I also know that learning can be very frustrating; I found myself on more than on occasion feeling like the teacher wasn't answering the question I was trying to ask and I didn't know how to rephrase it. So, I try to listen to my tutees, and really ensure that I am answering the question they are really asking.
