About Selin
I have over 5 years of experience teaching chemistry and hold an MSc in Radiochemistry. My passion lies in connecting chemistry to the food we eat every day. I specialize in food chemistry and nutritional science, where macromolecules, food additives, and metabolic reactions come alive through practical learning. I love showing students how proteins, fats, and carbohydrates behave during cooking. My lessons often include simple dietary analysis and discussions on how different nutrients affect our bodies. We also explore how chemical reactions shape flavor, texture, and nutrition. I use real-world examples, from baking to food preservation, to make abstract chemistry concepts easier to understand. Each session blends science with everyday experience. I believe students learn best when they can relate what they study to real life. My approach builds both curiosity and understanding. Learning chemistry should feel like discovering the science of daily life. Together, we’ll uncover how chemistry explains healthy eating and the art of cooking.
