About Savannah
I have a strong academic record, and I have helped students achieve grades they never thought possible. In addition to securing the highest GCSE and A level grades in Spanish, I achieved a score of 9.2/10 in the Modern Languages Admissions Test (MLAT) for the University of Oxford. To put this into context, the average MLAT score for successful applicants in my cohort was 7.2/10. My students have not only made significant academic progress, but they have also gained confidence using Spanish with native speakers. One of my students even put his Spanish into practice during a family holiday in Barcelona. For me, it is important that students feel empowered to use the language beyond the classroom, developing both mastery and genuine enjoyment of Spanish.

I cater my tutoring methods to the needs of the student. Many Spanish learners struggle to memorise vocabulary and grammar rules. At school I found rote learning of these things unhelpful, so I try to contextualise grammar and vocab using real examples from native speakers. Lessons with me are normally an hour long, but I am very flexible. In the 2025 GCSE cycle, one of my students, who was initially working at a grade 5 level, achieved a grade 8 in Spanish. I can work with GCSE and A level students and MLAT candidates of any level of Spanish.
