About Sarah
- What kind of experience do you have?
During my PhD gained extensive teaching experience, both through giving small group supervisions for Cambridge undergraduates in both mathematics and physics, and also through providing private science and mathematics tuition at both GCSE and A-level. I also have two years experience designing and delivering lecture courses and tutorials.

I am a private tutor specialising in online tuition via skype in mathematics and the physical sciences. I am willing to provide ongoing tuition or one-off tailored revision sessions, depending on the needs of the students.

Mathematics and physics, from primary school up to A-level, plus university-level Physics.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
After studying Natural Sciences at King's College, Cambridge, I completed a PhD in the Cambridge High Energy Physics group where I worked on the ATLAS experiment at CERN. After working as a physics lecturer for Maastricht university for two years I am now back in Cambridge working as a college lecturer and continuing my research.
- How much do you charge?
£50/hour for GCSE subjects and £55/hour for A-level and university level. The first session will be charged at half price and in addition I am willing to offer discounts for group lessons
- Where do you teach?
Online via Skype usually, though I am also willing to discuss options for face-to-face tuition in Cambridge
- When are you available?
Evenings Tuesday-Thursday, plus weekends

Online tuition is given via skype/zoom. Interactive whiteboard software is used so that students can still be talked through problems in real-time
