I am Amritha P S. I have completed my 𝘿𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚 and 𝙈𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝘿𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙚 in 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙠𝙧𝙞𝙩 from 𝗞𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗮 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆. And also I completed my 𝘽. 𝙀𝙙 in 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗸𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆. Sanskrit learning through 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙠𝙧𝙞𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙪𝙢. I am here to help you.... We can 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙠𝙧𝙞𝙩, 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙠𝙧𝙞𝙩, 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙠𝙧𝙞𝙩. This class is for students who have some basic knowledge of Sanskrit and also for the students who are beginners in Sanskrit.. Teaching is my passion and I am a student-centric teacher. I am using teaching aids like models, PowerPoint, and some language games etc... I can help you to learn 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙠𝙧𝙞𝙩 𝙨𝙡𝙤𝙠𝙖𝙨 especially 𝘽𝙝𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙙𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙖 and also 𝙎𝙪𝙗𝙝𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙨. Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
I am a Sanskrit teacher, and I truly love teaching this divine language to my students. Sanskrit is not just a language — it’s a treasure of generations, carrying timeless values and wisdom. It helps cultivate good manners, discipline, and character among individuals, while conveying deep moral teachings. My enthusiasm for Sanskrit began in childhood. I always aspired to become a Sanskrit scholar because I wanted to study the Bhagavad Gita and Lalitha Sahasranama in their original form. These sacred texts kindled my love and lifelong passion for this beautiful language.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
I had a Sanskrit teacher named Ranjini Miss. She is a very helpful and down-to-earth person, and she has been a true source of motivation for me.
How does your work help society?
Many Sanskrit scholars hesitate to teach this divine language to common people, often due to barriers like caste or religion. But I believe Sanskrit belongs to everyone — it’s a language of wisdom, culture, and humanity. My dream is to spread Sanskrit across the world, making it accessible to all. If my teaching can inspire even a spark of enthusiasm in students to explore this beautiful language, I’ll consider that my greatest achievement. .
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
My role models have always been my teachers — the ones who have guided me throughout my journey. They are always ready to teach me whenever I seek knowledge, patiently clearing my doubts and standing by me whenever I need their support.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
I teach Sanskrit to students outside my regular classes as well. I love giving them creative exercises and thinking activities — for example, I ask them to complete a story in Sanskrit by giving a few hints. We also play fun games using the language. These interactive methods make learning Sanskrit enjoyable, and teaching in this way has become one of my favorite hobbies.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
I have a student named Amrithavarshini from Superproof. She is such a nice and intellectual girl, always eager to learn. She often told me that she wished to meet me in person. One day, I finally visited her place — we played together, recited ślokas, and spent a wonderful time. It was such an amazing and memorable day for me, one I’ll always cherish.
