About Oluwatolani
Hi, my name is Oluwatolani, and I am a Public Health student at UC San Diego with a passion for helping students grow academically and personally. Through my academic experience and involvement in mentorship, community service, and leadership opportunities, I have developed strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills that allow me to support students with different learning styles.
I believe learning should be encouraging, approachable, and personalized. My goal is to help students build confidence in mathematics, algebra, and college preparation by breaking down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps. I am committed to creating a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their skills, and reaching their academic goals.

My tutoring approach focuses on creating a supportive and personalized learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. I break down challenging concepts into smaller, manageable steps, use real-world examples, and adjust my teaching style based on each student’s learning needs.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and identifying areas of difficulty. We then work through new concepts together, practice problems step-by-step, and end with a review to ensure the student feels prepared and confident.
What sets me apart is my patience, encouragement, and ability to connect with students as a fellow learner. As a UC San Diego student, I understand the challenges of preparing for higher education and can provide both academic support and college preparation guidance.
My lessons are designed for middle school and high school students who need support with mathematics, algebra, study skills, and college preparation.
