About John
I have a first class bachelor degree in music from Goldsmiths university and a masters degree in composition from the Royal College of Music.
I have two years experience teaching piano, ukulele, and music theory; this was for about 40 students. My ABRSM grades include grade 8 in piano, grade 8 in music theory, and grade 6 in flute.
Some of my compositions have been performed by the Royal Guard, Kreutzer Quartet, and at the Leeds Lieder festival.

I give lessons to anyone of any age.
The lessons are structured toward achievable targets. Depending on the needs of my students, I will also provide suggestions for listening, pieces to look at, and styles to explore.
I enjoy creating helpful and working friendships with students! I love music and I love imparting musical knowledge to others.
