About DAVID
Hi, I'm David.
I'm a creative film and theatre practitioner and film studies tutor. From the high level of education I have received (Cambridge and The Royal College of Art) and the numerous papers required to have been written, I offer an exceptionally high level of critical insight, analysis, history and deconstruction of the subject. I ensure to impart my knowledge and provide lesson scaffolding and context to new students, but my prerogative is to guide their personal understanding of film, to develop their own means of thinking.
I have a deep passion for cinema, and want to share my seven years of academic study and three years of videography work with those who share this interest.

I tailor the classes to fit your needs and work a direct goal oriented approach, ensuring lesson scaffolding assists in desire learning outcomes. The classes are built upon teaching foundations developed through my years of study, research, practise, and mentoring, all of which takes place in a well structured and fun online environment.
I utilise my academic experience as well as my three years self employed videographer work as a means to support and guide students. It is imperative that students come away from my classes with developed understanding of the subject, but also their own way of critically thinking about cinema.
Lessons range from 60-90 minutes and are for A Levels up to Adult Learners. I am happy to provide classes for GCSE with modifications to the content.
I have a MA in Visual Communication from the Royal College of Art (London), a 2:1 BA in Film Studies and Music from Cambridge, alongside 800 hours of private tuition.
