About Leah
I am a 5th year Biomedical Engineering student on track to complete my Master’s degree next year. While I don’t claim to be a genius, I firmly believe that achieving top grades is about finding the right study methods— and that’s exactly how I managed to secure As in my Junior Cert and H1s in my Leaving Cert.
Having studied Junior Cycle Maths and Science, as well as Leaving Cert Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, I know first-hand the challenges students face and the pressure of preparing for exams. A few years ago, I began offering grinds after realising how rewarding it is to share the tips and techniques I wish I had known as a student.

All students are entitled to an initial free trial session, during which I will assess their current level, strengths, and areas for improvement. Together, we will then create a study plan tailored to their academic goals. Parents are welcome to attend this session if they wish.
My teaching approach is based on scientifically proven study methods that are far more effective than rote learning. By breaking down subjects into manageable parts and using different techniques for different topics, I aim to make studying less overwhelming and more motivating.
A typical lesson includes:
> Priority check-in: addressing any upcoming class tests, homework, or continuous assessment first so the student stays on top of schoolwork.
> Focused revision: tackling the topics the student struggles with most and gradually working back to the easier material.
> Exam practice: finishing with past paper questions and assigning light follow-up work to keep momentum between sessions.
Every lesson is 100% customised to the student’s needs. With one-to-one lessons, content and notes are tailored to the individual. In group lessons, students benefit from hearing others’ questions and perspectives they may not have considered themselves.
