About Terri
I am a single mom of two grown daughters. One is a nurse and the other is permanently disabled and lives with me. I taught a little over 29 years in public school in Georgia and then in a part of a year in a private school in Georgia. I enjoy sports, especially football, basketball, and baseball. I love music of all kinds and can actually read music to sing the alto part! Cooking is a hobby of mine. I have four cats and two dogs that provide emotional support for me and my daughter.

I believe in modeling problems for students, allowing students to explore ways to solve problems, and providing quick feedback to help students find success. I work mostly with upper elementary through college aged students. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Auburn University, a Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University, and Gifted Certification and Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia. I taught in Public school for 29 1./3 years and private school for 2/3 of a year. I am a personable teacher and enjoy the connection I make with the students I tutor. I specialize in middle school math, Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II. I also am knowledgeable in English Literature (Shakespeare), American Literature, Writing Instruction (and proofreading/editing), and American History. I also am an AP English Literature and Composition Certified Teacher.
