About Jeffry
I am a retired Associate Professor of Quantitative Methods (University of Louisiana, Lafayette, 2016) and have been working with students for more than 25 years. I received my Ph.D. in Quantitative Research, Evaluation and Measurement from The Ohio State University. I have taught methods courses in introductory through advanced statistics, quantitative research design, tests and measurement, program evaluation and needs assessment. I am author of more than two dozen peer-reviewed publications and co-author of Needs Assessment: Analysis and Prioritization (Sage Publications, 2010). I have presented the findings of my research at 31 national/international and 12 state/regional conferences. I have served on the evaluation team of four National Science Foundation (NSF) sponsored research projects. I have provided consultant services to 41 students across a variety of disciplines who successfully defended their dissertations at both traditional and online doctoral programs. I am a veteran of the United Stated Army (8th Infantry Div., Bad Kreuznach, W. Germany) and work with many active duty and retired service men and women who are pursuing their degrees. Since retiring, I have continued my passion for teaching statistics and quantitative methods and working with graduate and undergraduate students at a several online universities. I am well-versed in the dynamics of online education and understand the challenges that today’s students experience in navigating the dissertation process. Lastly, I provide my students with the knowledge, skills and expertise to advance through their coursework in pursuit of their educational goals.

My philosophy about academic coaching services is an extension of my years of teaching quantitative methods. Over the last 25 years, institutions of higher education have undergone a profound pedagogical and technological transformation. The ability for students to access faculty with the time and expertise to provide unlimited one-on-one student-centered support is a thing of the past. It has been replaced with asynchronous communication or, in many cases, a referral to an institutional support service that may not possess the depth and breadth of the span knowledge the learner requires to complete the most complex aspects of their research. I am the consummate educator in quantitative research methods and data analysis. In addition to imparting knowledge, it is my responsibility to create an environment that is conducive to learning. Consequently, it is imperative that my students fully understand the methodological protocols that were used in the research, all of the data analysis tests that were employed, including the statistical assumptions, and lastly the resultant findings and the implications they have on practice, policy, theory and future research.
