A little back story , I failed my nclex twice before reaching out to a tutor. I used archer review initially while studying. My first session with Tekara was amazing , I was nervous and a bit embarrassed due to me having failed nclex twice but she gave me the confidence I did not know I had. I am a 2nd time NCLEX test taker and let me begin with it wouldn’t have been possible to pass this time around without Tekeras help and teaching. Not only did Tekera take her time with me but she also would make sure I understood the concept and topics while also teaching me how to answer the practice questions correctly. She taught me content which not many tutors do, how to answer vague questions (Nclex is famous for their vague questions), fun mnemonics for certain meds and systems which I actually used during the test. If I could go back and do nursing school over, I would have Terkera along the whole way. I started seeing Terkera almost through my 4th Block and without her I truly don’t think I could have passed. She tells you exactly how it is and that’s what I love about her. As someone who fully understands content but has difficulty transferring it to exam, Terkera personalize every session we had to what I need to work on. In nursing school you don’t have a consistent professor all the way through and every one has their own style but have someone consistent I think is key. Right out of graduation we wasted no time prepping for the NCLEX. The whole way Tekera has believed in me 100% of the way even though i doubted myself immensely. Tekera you are the best!!!! I’ll try not to write a whole book (LoL). So towards the end of nursing school, like most nursing students you have to take an exit exam. Each school has a different score. My school you had to get a score of 1000 in order to be eligible to have your name sent off to sit for your NCLEX !! I did it 3 times on my own and could not reach the required score of 1000 . I was recommended to Tekera and reached out to her. I started to feel very discouraged , defeated,and frustrated, but through it all , Tekera remained ,patient ,kind., and very professional with me. Within weeks I received the required score of 1000!! Tekera has tutored for essentially my entire nursing program. I was facing some bumps in the road and I turned to her. She has tutored me from the beginning to the end of nursing school. Afterwards she put together a custom study plan for me to do to prepare and take the NCLEX. I took the NCLEX one day ago, and I excitedly gave her the news that I passed on the first try. I was truly terrified to take the NCLEX. I hadn’t studied and waited too long after graduation so my authorization to test was about to expire and I HAD to take it with only a week and a half to prepare. Tekera and I met a handful of times after I found her on superprof. I can’t believe I didn’t think to work with her for nursing school! She is brilliant, and KNOWS the NCLEX. Anyone who is in the nursing program can understand the fast pace of learning that is required and because of this I found myself with a lot of unanswered question such as “ how and why” certain disease processes happen. I had been doing very well in my nursing school career until my last semester when I had to “put it all together”. This is when I learned that I was missing information that would allow me to do this. I learned that I am not someone who can learn by memorization rather, I was the type of student that needed to know the “why and how” to have a better understanding of the material. Tekera was by far the best tutor I came across on this app. I tried 2 others who I later learned were simply building their “lessons” off of online question banks and were not able to customize lessons to the material I was having difficulty with. Tekera was able to perform a quick assessment of my level of understanding and was able to develop a lesson plan to focus in on the information that was missing. Takera’s online lessons were both visual, to allow me to see what happens and discussions that allowed me to talk through a process. These two techniques combined were what helped me to go from a 68 on my first exam to an 81 in my last semester. Tekera has an in depth understanding of the materials included in the nursing curriculum and a plan to help her students pass. I am thankful that I found her and would highly recommend her to anyone who is struggling. After I passed the NCLEX in March of 2024, she was one of the few people I reached out to to say thank you.
