About Peter
Hi, I’m a GCSE Maths tutor with a Master’s degree in Economics and over 5 years of tutoring and lecturing experience. I know how important it is to get the right help and therefore I'm hoping to make maths finally click!
I also work as a broadcaster on a high-profile national radio station for 15–24 year olds, where I explain complex ideas in a clear, engaging, and easy-to-understand way. This has shaped my tutoring style massively—I specialise in making Maths feel simple, logical, and far less intimidating.
I’ve worked with students of all abilities, from those trying to pass GCSE Maths to those aiming for grade 8/9.
My strength is breaking down “confusing” maths topics into steps that actually make sense.

My lessons are fully tailored to the student’s ability, goals, and exam board. I spend a few hours making sure the lesson fits the pupil and working with them/the parent or guardian.
In each session, we focus on:
Breaking down difficult topics into simple, step-by-step methods
Building confidence with core GCSE topics (algebra, fractions, ratios, graphs, geometry, statistics)
Exam technique and how to pick up easy marks quickly
Past paper practice with clear, structured feedback
Fixing gaps in understanding without rushing
Because of my broadcasting background, I don’t just “teach maths”—I explain it in a way that sticks. If something doesn’t make sense, I reframe it until it does.
My goal is simple: turn confusion into confidence and improve grades fast.
