I myself am an amateurish piano player, and David very graciously helped me greatly improve while we were at college together. He has a thorough understanding of music theory, and his explanations were always comprehensive and patient. Moreover, he is a sublime player having mastered a vast number of excellent pieces. Not a day went by where his skill and knowledge did not impress. His talent is deep, and wisdom beyond his years. Anyone hoping to learn the piano, regardless of it is Beethoven, Duke Ellington, or Billy Joel, David has my highest recommendation as a teacher.
