I’m passionate about education because I believe it plays a pivotal role in giving young people choice and opportunity in their lives. My approach to teaching goes beyond academic success—I’m committed to supporting students in developing essential skills like critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication, which are embedded in the Australian Curriculum's cross-curricular priorities. I aim to create a supportive, inclusive environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow both academically and personally. Whether it's helping with general homework, preparing for assessments, or filling in gaps in understanding, I'm here to provide consistent support, accountability, and encouragement. I also place a strong emphasis on student well-being, and strive to support them socially and emotionally as they navigate their learning journey. As a qualified and registered secondary school teacher in Western Australia, I bring a flexible and student-centred approach to tutoring. I typically work with high school students but am happy to support learners of all ages and levels. My lessons, usually 45 to 60 minutes long, focus on breaking down complex concepts into accessible explanations, using practical examples and guided practice to build confidence and understanding. Whether it’s maths, psychology, science, English, general homework help, or exam preparation, I tailor each session to suit the unique needs of the student. With additional experience as a yoga instructor, swimming teacher, and in providing holistic pastoral care, I bring a calm, supportive, and well-rounded approach to learning.
