About Floyd
I've spent my career exploring the world of accounting, finance, business operations, and client advisory, working across different industries and helping businesses make sense of their numbers. While I've enjoyed the corporate world, teaching has always been something I've genuinely loved. I come from a family of educators, so helping people learn and grow has always felt natural to me.
What I enjoy most is taking topics that initially seem complicated and breaking them down into simple, logical steps. Accounting isn't just about numbers it's about understanding how businesses work, how decisions are made, and how real-world events translate into financial information. I believe students learn best when they can connect theory to practical situations, so I often use real business examples to bring concepts to life.
Outside of work, I'm a husband, father, sports enthusiast, and lifelong learner who enjoys everything from football and gaming to exploring new areas of finance and technology. These interests help me relate to students from different backgrounds and keep lessons engaging and approachable.
My goal is not simply to help students pass exams, but to build a solid foundation based on understanding of core principles. Whether you're preparing for IGCSE, GCSE, A-Level, or your first year of university accounting, I'll work with you patiently and practically to help you reach your goals.
