About Ben
I am a registered nurse working in a rural emergency department in New Zealand. I also work for a research company as part of the MoHs COVID response.
I have eight years experience working in Emergency care. With three of those years being in a busy tertiary hospital in London.
I have significant experience in trauma, paediatrics and life-threatening emergencies.
I have a passion for anatomy and physiology and have completed advanced training in this area.
Throughout my career I have worked as a mentor and trainer. I have mentored over 20 students, and have mentored NETP students in New Zealand.
I have a gentle and reassuring approach to teaching and believe people are at their best when they feel supported in their education. In my experience, support and encouragement are better learning tools than stress and criticism.

I tutor via skype or zoom. Nursing is a challenging degree that demands physical, tiring labour as well as challenging essays and practical tests.
With how varied the degree is, I will typically spend the first session establishing your goals and what you feel you need help with.
Whatever challenges you face, I can provide assistance, advice and support in achieving your goals.
If it involves your essay writing, I can help by proofreading your drafts, assisting you with finding appropriate research and helping you with the structure and language of your essays.
I am proficient with APA referencing and Oxford referencing, but can also quickly learn whichever referencing your University uses.
I have helped students write compelling cover letters and CVs for a variety of nursing positions. I have also helped prepare students for interviews and help in their preparations for their new job.
