Focusing on bowing technique and complex classical repertoire requires a deliberate pace, ensuring that vibrato and shifting positions feel entirely natural to the player. Because my background is rooted in the rigorous standards of the Curtis Institute of Music, I emphasize tone production and tuning by ear to help students develop an internal sense of pitch. Music theory informs every aspect of our work, providing the structural context needed to handle demanding competition pieces with grace.
