About Tyler
I recently graduated from FIT with a BFA in Fashion Design, specializing in Women's Ready-to-Wear, along with a Haute Couture Certificate. I graduated Summa Cum Laude as a Presidential Scholar and received the Mary Wilson Dean Award for Excellence in Fashion Design. I was also selected as a Critic Award winner for both the FIT Future of Fashion 2026 BFA Showcase and the 2024 FIT Associate Degree Exhibition, and was also the recipient of the Michael Kors Design Scholarship for my class.
Through my education and hands-on experience in portfolio development, couture garment construction, patternmaking, and couture techniques, I've developed a strong technical foundation that I enjoy sharing with others. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I'm committed to creating a supportive learning environment that helps you grow with confidence.

As a tutor, my goal is to meet you where you are in your fashion design journey. Whether you're learning how to use a sewing machine for the first time, building a portfolio for school applications, or developing advanced patternmaking and technical sewing skills, I tailor each lesson to your individual goals.
I begin by learning about your experience, interests, and what your goals are with fashion design. From there, I create lessons that are hands-on and structured around your progress. Every session is designed to build your skills and confidence at a pace that works for you.
My lessons are ideal for beginners through advanced students, including hobbyists, fashion students, and anyone looking to improve their design and garment construction skills. I also offer mentorship to future design students looking to refine their illustrations and portfolios!
