About Ana-Maria
I am a dedicated Architectural Designer and Mentor with a passion for nurturing talent in architecture and design. With a strong foundation from my M.Sc. Architecture degree at TU Delft, where I excelled academically, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my tutoring approach. In addition to my academic achievements, I am a young yet seasoned architectural designer and researcher, committed to guiding aspiring architects in uncovering their unique design direction. Drawing from my extensive background in both design and research, along with past leadership experience in mentorship groups, I offer specialised assistance in design strategy and a desire to hone each student's particular research and design process. Having worked in award-winning practices such as Studio Weave (UK) and Dividual (NL), I offer practical insights into architectural excellence. My tutoring philosophy is rooted in fostering creativity, honing design skills, and providing tailored support in portfolio development and academic research. As a DBS certified professional, I prioritise creating a supportive learning environment for any individual, where students can explore design techniques and develop personalised strategies for future projects. Software Training: Benefit from practical tutorials in essential software tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and ArchiCAD, empowering you with the technical skills required in the architectural field. Essay Writing and Dissertation Review: Receive assistance in developing your academic writing skills, with feedback and guidance on essays, dissertations, and research papers. CV and Work Experience Advice: Get guidance on CV preparation, including formatting, content, and presentation, as well as advice on securing work experience opportunities and preparing for interviews. Architectural Drawing and Model-Making Skills: Take part in tutorials on architectural drawing techniques and model-making skills to enhance your representation abilities and effectively communicate design ideas.
