About Emma
At the age of 7 I start my musical journey in France on the piano and the recorder. Until I graduated from high school, I broadened my knowledge of recorder, early music and music theory with various great teachers in Lyon, Tours and Uzès and have been studying recorder and Cornetto at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig since 2019. I have experience as a recorder teacher for children (from the age of 7) and adults, beginners and advanced. I really enjoy playing the repertoire of early music (Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque) but also world music and modern music. I am always ready to let my students discover new repertoire, but I am also very happy to follow their wishes.

The most important thing for me is the joy of playing.
For beginners we start with nice and simple songs, dance music and musical games to get to know the instrument, to train the ear and at the same time to learn basic knowledge of music theory (reading notes and rhythms, singing ...).
For advanced students, I am happy to offer a historical look at the older repertoire (historical taste and style, ornamentation and improvisation). I also like to follow the student's request: you can play anything with the recorder (jazz, pop, world music, ...).
I can also offer group lessons.
