About Georgina
I am a friendly, recently qualified primary school teacher with a degree in History from the University of Birmingham and a distinction in my teacher training. I have tutored English and Maths through Kumon for ages 5-17 and I have worked at holiday and after school clubs. I have just completed my teacher training and have been on placement in KS1 and KS2.
I have a very in-depth knowledge of the curriculum, and I would be happy to tutor from Reception to Year 6. I have 11 GCSEs, all at an A*-B standard and strong A-Levels. I would love to contribute to the Covid catch-up effort and I am more than qualified to tutor in English, Maths and the Broader Curriculum.

I am passionate about teaching and I love planning engaging activities for children to do that deepen their understanding of the curriculum. I tend to teach creatively as I think children are more likely to transfer information into their long term memories if they are doing something different, exciting and enjoyable. I will run my lessons by doing a quick recap of previous learning to consolidate basic skills, and then provide activities, questions and lesson inputs to link prior learning to new material. I will aim to vary my lessons so the children enjoy their tutoring, as well as progressing their learning.
