About Emily
I am a licensed Spanish and ENL teacher. I studied Spanish for 7 years, studied abroad in Costa Rica for 5 weeks, and am a member of the Phi Sigma Iota Foreign Language Honor Society. I've tutored a few students and am looking to pick tutoring back up! I taught ENL for 3 years and Spanish for 1 semester.

I received a BA in Language Studies with a concentration in Spanish through Indiana State University, then I received a Transition to Teaching Certificate through American College of Education. I enjoy teaching beginner to intermediate levels. My teaching method is a mix between lecture and demonstration. I create my own notes and practice methods to share with students. When learning a new concept I begin by going over the notes through lecture format, demonstrating harder concepts that require more of a visual or hands on activity, then use activities and exercises to practice what has been learned.
