About Ewan
I have just graduated from the University of Leeds in Physics, and previously went to Alleyn's school. I have always enjoyed exploring how the world works, and the beauty of maths which leads to the most astonishing discoveries about our universe. In my free time, I love playing sports (such as football, cycling and running) and travelling.

The rough guide for my lesson approach is as follows:
- Identify a topic, ideally chosen by the student, to start with.
- Have a short, informal conversation about the topic, allowing the student to explain what they might already know, and begin to feel comfortable and familiar with the subject area.
- This conversation allows me identify gaps in the student's knowledge. I will proceed to explain these harder/unfamiliar concepts, while checking the student understands as I go. Explanations usually include analogies and diagrams, allowing more interesting ways for the student to visualise the idea.
- Once a stronger fundamental understanding of the topic is acquired by the student, we go through questions together, allowing the student to develop their critical thinking in applying their knowledge to solve problems.
My lessons can be applied to school students of any age, and are typically an hour long. I specialise in Maths and Physics for GSCE and A-level. I also have 6 months experience as a teaching assistant for a primary school, and so very confident in teaching English and Maths to primary students as well.
