About Caitlin
I am 18 years old and recently graduated from the best grammar school in the North West with high grades at A level in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I am now going on to study a masters in Biology/ Biochemistry at the University of Manchester. As a younger tutor, the experience of A levels and GCSEs are fresh in my mind along with the revision methods and exam techniques that I personally used. I would also be available to help with UCAS queries and read over personal statements for University.

A typical lesson would be around an hour, on MicrosoftTeams, for any GCSE or A level student studying Biology or Chemistry. I have previously mentored and tutored two students from my school with great success and I enjoyed helping to guide them through such stressful times. I have a thorough understanding of all topics from the A levels and I know a range of online resources which helped me through my own studies, including practice questions and notes. I would also teach maths at primary or secondary level for my normal rate, or GCSE for a higher rate.
I believe that the best way to improve is to spend a brief period of time learning the content, then having the bulk of the lesson practicing questions and reviewing weaker areas. For sciences, the majority of success lies in constant repetition and improvement. I prefer to slowly walk a student through the breakdown of a question, guiding them on correct exam techniques to maximise marks and then helping them to write their answer effectively and concisely to allow them to succeed under pressure within the exam.
