About Katherine
I am a recent UCLA graduate that majored in Civil and Environmental engineering. Currently, I work at an engineering consulting firm where I help treat contaminated sites. I have experience in tutoring all levels of math up to pre-calculus. I love problem solving and I hope to inspire that same love of problem solving in you - making math more fun and interesting!

I have always had a passion for math which is what drove me to become an engineer in the first place. Many kids think that math is a boring or hard subject either because their class is taught at a pace that is difficult to keep up with or because they don't understand the fundamentals behind certain concepts. I strive to make the subject easier to understand by explaining the reasoning and proofs behind certain concepts. I believe that all students can succeed, we just need to find the unique way to achieve that success.
I will first assess where a student is at with a short test based on their subject. After assessing their skill level, I will proceed to create a lesson plan based off their goals and syllabus of the class.
